"Light Planes" consist of graphic animation recorded onto motion picture film. The 1-second, animated film strips are then adhered to a custom-made lightbox utilizing LED lights and diffusing plexiglass. The resulting composition is back-lit and measures 66" x 28" x 4".
Illustrations include airbrushed gauche, black & white xerography, colored pencil and other mixed media. Measurements vary from 16" x 20" to 24'' x 30".
Hand-blown glass work consists mostly of vessels that include random trailing, overlays, frit, incolmo and other techniques. The pieces run in size from 8" to 18".
Images were shot in both film and digital formats. Travel has afforded me the opportunity to experience incredible places and genuine people. Documenting those worldly adventures has been a life-long passion.
High-contrast, graphic works include pen & ink, typography and computer illustration. Sizes are typically 8.5" x 11".
Neon work includes design, tube bending and fabrication. Along with neon, the pieces include blown glass, brushed aluminum, LED and incandescent lights. Measurements are 96" x 36" and 72" x 38".
Compositions include graphite pencil, pen & ink and marker. These drawings are typical of early, conceptual sketches done for various commercial projects. Measurements typically are 8.5" x 11"
This dining room table consists of glass, inlaid bamboo wood and custom-fabricated, brushed steel. Oval table top measures 72" x 46".
